With this rule, we are going to pause Facebook ad sets that have spent over $100 in the past 7 days, resulted in ROAS lower or equal to $1, and contain \u201cusa\u201d in their name. <\/p>\n\n\n

Step 1: <\/strong>First, you need to fill in basic information<\/strong> about your rule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select a rule name.<\/strong> Make it as specific as possible so you can easily sort through your rule overview later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Optionally, you can add a rule group<\/strong> to combine similar rules together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Next, choose which data time frame<\/strong> TheOptimizer should look at. In this case, we are considering data from the past 7 days. This can be adjusted according to your needs, and it ranges from \u201ctoday\u201d to \u201clast 90 days\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
You can also exclude data<\/strong> from this interval. This is especially important for search arbitragers who are working with estimated revenue data and may need to exclude today, or today & yesterday, from their rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Step 2:<\/strong> Now, you can set rule conditions<\/strong>. You can select over 100+ metrics, and even create custom metrics of your own, to build accurate rules. You can add as many conditions as you need here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this example, we are using 3 conditions. TheOptimizer will pause any ad sets that have spent over $100, with a ROAS of less than or equal to $1, containing \u201cusa\u201d in their name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Here, you can select specific ad sets to be included<\/strong> or excluded<\/strong> from this rule. If you only want to apply this rule to a few select ad sets, you can add them via the drop-down list. If you want certain ad sets to not be changed by this rule, you can exclude them, again using the drop-down list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step 4:<\/strong> Now, select which campaigns<\/strong> you want to apply this rule to. You can manually select campaigns, or you can use the filter on the right to bulk add all active campaigns, all paused campaigns, or filter campaigns by a keyword. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step 5:<\/strong> In the final step, you will schedule the rule and alerts<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, choose how often you want the rule to run. It can be as often as every 10 minutes, once per hour, or daily at specific times of the day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
You can set your rule to \u201cAlert Only\u201d, \u201cExecute\u201d, or \u201cExecute & Alert\u201d. The first option will not make any changes to your campaigns, but it will notify you via email, Slack, or Telegram when the rule conditions have been met. \u201cExecute\u201d will immediately apply the rule and not send you any notifications about it. \u201cExecute & Alert\u201d will apply the rule, and also notify you whenever the rule has been applied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
