Introduction to Facebook automation rules

The core part of TheOptimizer is the automated rules functionality. Under the Rules menu on the left, you will see a list of actions you can automate using Rules.

In general, the rules have two key functions – they prevent you from losing money by cutting underperformers, or help you scale by boosting overperformers

Here are the different types of rules you can create on Facebook:

  • Pause campaigns, ad sets, ads, placements, GEOs, or devices
  • Activate campaigns, ad sets, ads, placements, GEOs, or devices
  • Adjust campaign or ad set budget
  • Clone campaigns, ad sets, or ads
  • Apply dayparting
  • Adjust ad set bids

đź’ˇNOTE: In the next sections, we will present a few different rule examples. Please note that these examples are simply there to show you what you can do with our automation tool. The numbers and metrics used are made-up, and you would need to adapt these for your own campaigns.
