Introduction to TikTok automation rules

After you have connected your TikTok ad accounts and external revenue streams (e.g., trackers, search feeds) to TheOptimizer, you can start optimizing your campaigns on autopilot via rules.

Under the Rules menu on the left, you will see a list of actions you can automate using Rules.

The rules revolve around two key functions – preventing you from losing money by cutting underperformers, or helping you scale by boosting overperformers

Here are the different types of rules you can create on TikTok:

  • Pause Campaigns, Ad Groups, or Ads
  • Activate Campaigns, Ad Groups, or Ads
  • Adjust Campaign or Ad Group budget
  • Clone Campaigns, Ad Groups, or Ads
  • Apply dayparting
  • Adjust Ad Group bids

💡NOTE: In the next sections, we will present a few different rule examples. Please note that these examples are simply there to show you what you can do with our automation tool. The numbers and metrics used are made-up, and you would need to adapt these for your own campaigns.
